So after a couple years of being a casual observer of Me Made May, 2016 is the year I finally pledge to take part.
For those of you that haven’t heard of Me Made May, its a month long challenge, hosted by Zoe of So, Zo… where each participant choose a pledge unique to them to encourage people to wear and love their me made clothes just that bit more. It looks like in 2016 there will be over 700 people taking part. You can read more about Me Made May 2016 on Zoe’s blog post here and here.
So what did I pledge for my first Me Made May adventure? “I, Chloe of Handmade by Chloe, sign up as a participant of Me Made May ’16. I endeavour to wear at least 1 item of me made clothing for each day in May. By photographing my outfits each day I hope to fall in love with some of my forgotten me made items again. I also promise to take note of the gaps in my me made wardrobe and focus my sewing on filling these gaps.”
I’m planning on making this super easy by taking everything that isn’t me made out of my wardrobe and moving it into my spare wardrobe (that’s right 2 wardrobes all for me, one of the perks of living on my own!), and rummaging through all my drawers to pull out everything me made and hang it up so its easy to find. So that’s my first job this Bank Holiday weekend. I’m actually quite excited about this appeals to my organised side.
You can check out everyone’s progress through social media with the tag #MMMAY16 and I’ll personally be attempting to take a photo of my outfit each day, uploading it to instagram (@chloelouisew89 ) and doing some weekly blog round ups of everything I am wearing. See you back here in a week or so’s time to see how the first week ofmy #MMMay16 challenge is going. I can already tell – this one is going to be fun!
